Welcome to Le Verger d’Auzay, in the North of the Deux Sèvres, located within the Anjou Wine Region

Our 3 star rated holiday cottage is situated in the hamlet of Auzay next to a small commercial apple orchard. Auzay is surrounded by beautiful countryside on the edge of a valley with the river Argenton. A short walk from the cottage is a riverside picnic area with a foot bridge leading to more countryside walks. The village of Argentonnay, 25 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car, has all the necessary amenities most importantly a French Bakery where you can buy fresh croissants for breakfast! If you wish to go fishing, a license can be purchased at our local bar in Argentonnay. Canoes and kayaks are available to hire in Argentonnay with Detour dans l’Eau (www.detourscanoe.fr) and you can paddle to Auzay and pass under the foot bridge! We are surrounded by wonderful small family run vineyards where you can enjoy free wine tasting and a one on one experience with the owners who are happy and proud to share their knowledge of the local wines and welcome you to their vineyards. With so many local vineyards it’s difficult to choose which ones to visit but it’s fun trying as many as possible!
